1st symposium on Recent Advances in Cryo-Electron Microscopy took place at CEITEC MU on April 18–19, 2018. The symposium gathered the researchers to discuss the latest advances in cryo-electron microscopy with several worlds leading experts in the field. 

Internationally renown scientists in the field of cryo-electron microscopy, such as Stefan Raunser (Max Planck Institute of Molecular Physiology, Germany),  Maryam Khoshouei, Juergen Plitzko (Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, Germany) or Abhay Kotecha (University of Oxford, Oxford, United Kingdom) presented their speeches at CEITEC MU, where the Core Facility Cryo-Electron Microscopy and Tomography is based, equipped with state-of-the-art research infrastructure.

As a part of the symposium, the attendees could visit the laboratories of the core facility.
