The research team will use brain non-invasive stimulation used in patients´ home environment in combination with speech therapy. Neuroscientists from CEITEC Masaryk University published last year the results of a unique research, describing that application of non-invasive brain stimulation can improve speech in patients with Parkinson's disease in the long run. Now the team is ready to continue with their research and designed the first study to examine the use of non-invasive brain stimulation performed at home in combination with speech therapy. This research project of Lubos Brabenec was supported by a special grant for young scientists under the age of 35, which is awarded by the Grant Agency for Health Research of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic. The project was rated as the best of all eleven submitted junior projects in the Neuroscience and Mental Health panel.
